Eurocentrism is a term coined to denote the practice of giving weightage to European (and, commonly, Western) interest, culture in addition to values at the price of such notions of other cultures. This practice could be conscious or otherwise. The adjective form of Eurocentrism would be Eurocentric. It is sometimes spelled as Europocentric. On the other hand the adjective and noun form would be the term Eurocentrist.
The term could be applied to mean the idea of pre eminence of both Europe and the Europeans. Eurocentrism is just one instance of ethnocentrism, a common term especially in sociology where it refers to conviction in the superiority of a person's own ethnic group. It could also imply simply overriding concern with race.
