To change the language on MSN, log in to your account. Go to your inbox and click on Options, which appears under your name on the right-hand side of the screen. Click on More Options and then Language, which comes under the Customizing Hotmail sub-heading, and then select English from the list. Click on Save. English is now your default language.

Options is a fantastic tool. Here you can do everything from setting up email forwarding to
adding a personal email signature to importing and exporting contacts. Another great tool is the Help facility, which also appears under your name on the right-hand side of the screen. Here you can see the answers to frequently asked questions and also ask questions of your own in the forums.

MSN (The Microsoft Network) was launched on 24th August 1995 to coincide with the release of the Windows 95 operating system. It is a collection of internet sites and services. The range has evolved over the years and many of the services, including MSN Hotmail and MSN Messenger, were reorganised in 2005 under the brand name Windows Live.

Windows Live was part of Microsoft's strategy to improve its online offerings using the Windows brand name. Windows itself was first introduced on 20th November 1985. Services under the Windows Live brand include Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Hotmail, Bing (formerly Windows Live Search), Live Search Maps, Windows Live Spaces, Windows Live Alerts and Windows Live Groups.
