A continent is a large landmasses on earth while an ocean is a large water body. Limits of the continent are determined by the strict criteria while that of ocean depends upon the area of water. The seven continents in the world include Asia, Africa, Antarctica, Europe, Australia, North America and South America. On the other hand five oceans of the world include Arctic, Atlantic, Indian, Pacific and Southern Ocean.
