In response to Mr. Misery, you are just plain pathetic, you probably have been heartbroken and dumped by a strong willed beautiful girl named Beth, such as myself, and really need to get over it. To the other Beth who is only 14, OWN your name. It is you who will make your name. Don’t compare yourself to the other Beth’s in your school. Find a way to make yourself different from the other ones in a good way. We have a very strong name; our parents gave us a biblical name for a reason.

The meaning of the name just beth means house of misery
I need to now what it means as I need the meaning to make the girl I love fall in love with me.
My name is just Beth and I'm 14. There are 3 Bethanys in my year and it annoys me so much. People are always calling my Bethany ans getting my name missed up with the other girls. I like my name very much but I don't feel different or unique from it. I get on well with all 3 girls, 1 is actually my best friend. Beth is not nickname and it's not shorten from other names. Yes it can be used as a nickname but it is also a name. I'm considering that if I go to college and have the same problem I would rather be known as my middle name, Alexandra or something else. I just wish my name was just mine at school and that people would know me as Beth and not just 1 of the Beths. A lot people also don't believe me when I say my name is just Beth and I'm pretty fed up of correcting people. My best friend also finds it hard with everyone calling her Beth so I never really know who they are talking to. I know I can't change it but it doesn't mean I don't want to and I'm can't help but be very annoyed at me parents for naming me it. Bethany is a really popular name where I live, I just wish it wasn't.
