Spotting is when you have just a few spots of blood or just a little bit more but not a full period. This will often happen during, as sometimes the bloodflow slows for a day, at the beginning or end of a period and sometimes in between as the body clears itself out for the next period. If early pregnancy, sometimes there will be a bit of spotting, but usually nothing to be concerned about. Only if you start cramping and then it begins to flow there is a problem and must see doctor immediately
