A water wheel is a hydro power arrangement; it is a type of a machine that is used for the extraction of power through the use of the flow of water. Water wheels have been into existence since the time of the Romans. Hydro power generated from the water wheel was being used even the middle ages. Most of the industries in Europe were powered along with the windmill. One of the most common thing the windmill was used was to mill flour in gristmills.

However there were other works that were that it was used in, these works included foundry work, machining, and for the pounding of linen in the use of paper. The water wheel is made up of a metal wheel which has a number of blades or buckets that are installed on the rim of the water wheel.
