Most of the Jordan's I know are guys ... But I think it's an awesome girls name :) most of the Jaimie's I know are also guys but it works for a girl :/ so Aight :)
Jordan is a great name, especially if the girl's middle name is "Almond."
I know of a very intellectual young lady who was having severe problems getting job interviews till she used her middle name, Jordan as a first name. She continued to have problems when they realized they had set up an interview with a woman. Ultimately she overwhelmed an interviewer who happened to be the president of a Fortune 500 company. The next time you fly a Boeing aircraft remember the chief designer and engineer for the safety emergency slides is a woman who changed her first name to Jordan.
I think its better as a boys name.
I personally like the name Jordan for both boys and girls.
In the UK, it does come with some negative connotations because of the glamour model formerly known as "Jordan".
She has made a lot of effort to rebrand herself as Katie Price in the past few years though, so I think it's less of a problem now.
