Humanities is basically the study of human history and the interaction of humans. Cultural history, a sub-discipline of history, examines the records and narrative descriptions of past knowledge, customs, and arts of a specific group of people.

Almost the same thing, but Humanities is a much broader study. You could study the cultural history of the native Hawaiians without ever looking at the history of the rest of the world.
