The main difference between search and research includes the following point :-
Search or searching is the process of finding something which is unknown whereas as research is the thorough and systematic investigation of material in order to present the actual facts on particular topic.
Search is try to find something by looking or otherwise seeking carefully and thoroughly, whereas research is the systematic investigation into and study of materials and sources in order to establish facts and reach new conclusions.
