God wants us to love our enemies and those who persecute us so we don't be guilty of being like them. If we start to hate them and be revengeful, what would be the difference between you and them? If we want God to forgive us, we must forgive those who do us wrong. God wont forgive us if we can't even forgive our brother or neighbor. God rewards us for being obedient to his word. We get rewarded for loving our enemies; If we only love people who love us, we are no different from the world.

That is a good way to put it... God loves everybody on earth even though some people hate him he will still love them and he will never stop loving them in everything we do!and we want to be more like god so that is a good thing to do!

It would be easy to love those that already love you. Jesus is saying that the ones that keep you up at night because of some of the things they do  are the ones that we must Godly love. It cannot be in our own love because we would fall short of accomplishing what God wants for us with those people. We will be surprised at the people who will be in heaven because Christians have gone the extra mile. It is what separates us from the world. Tony Zibolski

I hate a particular person in the office because of his acts, like malicious story spreading out about me and my friend. It cost a lot intrigues on my part,I'm an officer of a bank and I find it ridiculous cause I don't find a way to get rid of this person. I try to pray for this person and hope I'll be objective in giving him an evaluation based on his performance.

It is easy to only love the people who already love you. Recall that Jesus didn't spend time talking to the good and the non-evil...He made it a point to meet with the sinners, the worst of the worst. If you love those who persecute you and pray for them, the reward (heaven) will be great, much greater than if you only love the ones that already love you...your reward that lies with that situation is damnation.
