Reality is whatever you think it is.
Renee Decartes said, "I think, therefore I am."
Essentially, Decartes said that the only real way you can prove your own existence is the fact that you can think. For all you know you are nothing but a blob in a jar on a shelf somewhere . . . And everything is created in your mind.
The only thing you really know for sure is that you exist because you can think. That's your reality.
Reality is life.
The issue of reality and the true nature of our existence is crucial. If things are different from how they are presented to us conventionally, then this is very basic to our quest.
