Free scanner frequencies for police scanners can be found on numerous websites, some of the most well-known are:

Www.radiorefrence.com - This allows scanner aficionados to listen in on the action in their specific state and county which they can select from a number of options.

Www.police-scanner.info/police-scanner-frequencies.htm - This gives users links to a large number of websites where you can pick up frequencies for police scanners.

Www.nationalradiodata.com/scanner-frequencies-home.jsp - This is also very useful, however users may need to pay a small monthly subscription charge to access some of the frequencies.

Unfortunately, no website will allow you to listen in to what is going on in bigger cities due to inference from digital frequencies. Avid fans will however be able to listen in on Counties and local townships.

Some people use their radios to listen in on calls to the police, sheriff office, fire-rescue and even air traffic control. Of course there are plenty of other uses for using a police scanner and many people listen to calls to amusement parks, fast food outlets and the highway control.

It is true that some criminals can use police scanners as part of a plan to commit some kind of crime, however most users are decent law abiding citizens who simply want to enjoy a hobby. These scanners can also be used effectively by media organizations who want to pick up on police stories as they break. Local communities can also benefit from using them as neighborhood watch groups can learn of potential criminals on the loose or off duty police officers can use them to help out their colleagues if the need arises.

It does depend on where you live if possessing a police scanner and tuning into different frequencies is illegal. It also largely depends on what you are going to be using the scanner for. It may therefore be best to check the regulations in your area before buying a police scanner.

Google radio freqs for your county.
chances are you will find a site that someone was nice enough to put up with your scanner codes.
I see that your a guest. Which raises the question of why you want these codes...
If you are in good standing with your police department, you can ask them. They should help you.
With out knowing your locale, it is kind of hard to help you.

Log on to RadioReference.com, At the top you will see Database. Click on database and a map of the U.S will show up. Click on a state, and a list of county's will show up. Click on the county and you will see the frequencies. Happy scanning. Rick
