Since you are a recovering alcoholic,its the fact that some damage was done to your liver,but at this stage,your 24, it can be corrected,as long as you stay away from alcohol,when the enzymes are elevated mildly its slight concern which means,your liver slightly grew in size due to drinking were they so elevated to the point of medication you would have a serious problem, cirrhosis of the liver which is hardening of the fibrous tissue.this is when alcohol has done so much damage the repair is consuming,and in some cases irripairable.
