It is being said about Hindu believes that while worship if a thing offered to god falls on you that means
  1) god wants some favor from you or
  2) he is happy with you for something.

According to the Jain and Hindu rituals, if a flower falls next to you in a pooja that means you would be bestowed with something very special. Or god would fulfill your desires or the purpose of pooja.
