Suffix is a linguistic term and refers to a group of letters that are added at the end of a word to form a new word or give it a new meaning. Thus it is an affix that is attached to the root or end part of a word. It is a morpheme placed at the base of a word to change the present connotation and give it a new one.

The suffix –ole has Latin origins. It is similar in meaning to other prefixes like –ule, and –le. It means little or small when used in a word in English. It is not that common as a suffix and ule is more popular. Some of the words with that suffix are molecule, capsule etc. but the word ole also indicates an expression of triumph in the Spanish language. It is a cry often heard during bull fights and such other sports.
