The name Lyndon is conferred upon a boy. It is pronounced as LIN-don. The word has an Old English origin which means "linden tree hill." There are a lot of famous names, with a couple of noteworthy mentions being US President Lyndon Baines Johnson and British playwright and screenwriter Barré Lyndon.

Barré Lyndon is credited for penning the screenplays of two Hollywood classics from the mid-40s- The Lodger (1944) and Hangover Square (1945). Some of his other achievements include Night Has a Thousand Eyes (1948) and The Greatest Show on Earth (1952) among others.

Lyndon (pop: 5,448 as per 2000 Census) apparently is also the name of a town in Caledonia County, Vermont, United States.
