Abarognosis is defined as the the loss of ability to appreciate the weight of objects held in the hand, or to differentiate among objects of different weights. When the primary senses are intact, caused by a lesion of the contra lateral parietal lobe.This deficit may be caused by damage to the parietal lobe on the side of the brain opposite of the deficit. It is considered to be a neurological disorder. Basically it is the loss of the ability to sense weight of any sort.
