The word pasque is used to convey the idea of a kind of flower that is mainly found in North America and Eurasia. The word is almost always used in association with flowers and it describes a kind of deciduous perennials plants that are found in short clumps and mainly found in the prairies.

This kind of flower is mainly found in well drained and sandy places and the steep slopes of Alaska are the main habitat of the flower. The blooming season of the flower is usually May to early June and the nick name with which people call it is Spring Crocus. The special feature of this plant is that in the spring the flower is densely covered with silky hair the colour of which is white and it looks like the beard of an old man.
