Obliterated is the past participle of the verb "to obliterate" Obliterated means "wiped out totally or annihilated." A thing or action is said to be obliterated when it is scrapped out, deleted, destroyed or wiped out. A person is said to be obliterated if he is killed or disappeared from the face of the earth.

For example, consider the usage of the word "obliterated" in a sentence:
"Small pox was such a deadly epidemic at a certain point of time, that it obliterated a village."
When we refer to the word "obliterated" in the above sentence, we are implying that the disease took the lives off almost everybody in the village.
