Perception is the awareness and understanding of the sensory information. The word perception is derived from a Latin word meaning "receiving, collecting, action of taking possession with the mind or senses". Perceptions are widely discussed in psychology and there are a number of theories regarding perceptions. One old law of perception is Weber-Fechner Law which gives the relationship between physical stimuli and perceptual effects.
