The word NEWS is actually an abbreviation of four words. These four words are North, East, West, and South. Information brought in from all four regions is referred to as what we call the NEWS.

A newspaper is a print production which generally publishes daily news and information and it is printed on low cost paper called the newsprint. The first newsprint paper was published in the year 1605. Newspaper consist of current news that could be related to political events, crime, business, culture, sports, and opinions (either editorials, columns, or political cartoons). In order to get a better feel of the story, sometime visuals as in, photographs used sometimes there are caricatures that put a thought forward.

Some of the recent changes in newspaper are switching over from broadsheets to small size tabloids. This helps the reader to be more comfortable while reading a newspaper. Newspaper today are shifting to the internet in order to provide any kind of breaking news instantly, which otherwise would take at least a day. So newspaper broadcasting is taking over drastically.

Some of the regular features of a newspaper are weather news and forecast, advice column, editorial column, comic strips, sports news, international news, local news and business section. Newspapers also do have separate section which consists of games like sudoku, crosswords, horoscopes and quiz section.
