I have found a connection with Ireland - at any rate there is, or was, a dance school in Dublin called the Genocky School, and there is also a musician called Liam Genocky. This may give you a lead - the Irish surname sites I have tried haven't produced anything so far, but there are a lot of them so you could try exploring Irish sites. Good luck.
