The United States of America flag have thirteen identical horizontal band of red and white color, with left blue rectangle in the canton bearing 50 small white five-pointed stars. The 50 stars symbolize the 50 U.S. States and the 13 stripes stand for the original 13 Colonies that fought against the British crown and became the first states in the Union. Other names of US flag are Old Glory and the Stars and Stripes. Because of its representation the starred blue part of the flag is called the "union". This tells that all the 50 states are united. This part of the national flag can stand alone as a marine flag called the Union Jack which provided as the U.S. Jack on warships from 1777 until 2002.  According to Flags of the World, the colors are detailed by the General Services Administration like here in American flag the colors red, white, and blue did not have meanings for The Stars and Stripes but they shows different meanings.  • White shows Innocence and Purity  • Red shows Valor and Hardiness • Blue shows perseverance vigilance, and Justice

The three main colors of American flag are Red, Blue and White.
The Color Red is supposed to stand for valor and hardiness while blue represents perseverance, justice and vigilance; it is also the 'color of the Chief'. White on the other hand stands for innocence and purity. The Stripes were supposed to be representative of the rays that emanated from the sun while the stars were seen as being symbolic of the heavens; the highest place that a person could aim to reach. The flag also has 13 stripes which essentially talk of the 13 Original Colonies that signed the Declaration of Independence. The 50 stars that lie on a blue background are supposed to represent the 50 states that are part of present day America. In almost all of the publications that are made of the US flag, the Printing Office makes it clear that all the colors used are Pantone shades.

I see the American Flag as a symbol of our democracy and as such it is also a symbol for all expressions of life in these our United States, not just what we determine is valid for us or our group. It is a symbol of the freedom to worship not only the Christian faith but also the freedom to worship any and all religions. It is also a symbol that assures us the right - or perhaps even the obligation - to separate the worship of our God from our involvement in political expression. The flag is a symbol of the power of the family involving a man and a women as well as families established by two men or two women. The flag is also a symbol of our failures, reminding us that many in our country are homeless or without food and adequate health care. The flag is not only a symbol of compassion and inclusion, but also a symbol of those who take advantage of others for personal gain out of their individual greed.

The U.S flag is arranged in a manner that it consists of thirteen equal stripes of red and white arranged in horizontal manner. It also has a blue rectangle in the canton that has fifty white, small, five pointed stars. These stars are arranged in nine offset horizontal rows of six stars each with alternate row of five stars.

The thirteen red and white stripes represent the thirteen original colonies which rebelled against the British Crown. Whereas the fifty stars represent the fifty states of the United States.

There is no symbolism whatsoever to the colors red, white and blue used in the flag. However, the color blue and the stars on it represent a constellation. However, in words of George Washington "We take stars from the Heaven, Red from our mother country, and separate it by white stripes, showing that we have separated from her and white stripes shall go down representing Liberty.

Why don't the government do a head tax for everyone and not put it all on the land owner. This way they would have more than enough money.
